Call for Members: CCAC Transparency and Confidentiality Task Force

The Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) is currently looking for volunteers for the newly created CCAC Transparency and Confidentiality Task Force. This task force was established to examine the level of transparency and confidentiality in regard to the CCAC's processes, messaging, and certified institutions. The task force will study granting agency requirements, CCAC policies, legal obligations, public opinion, and certified institutions' views in regard to transparency and confidentiality, and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors.

The task force shall be comprised of a chairperson (who may be a Board member), three other Board members, a community representative, and two members from certified institutions. .

All task force members will be appointed to serve up to two years and should be committed to ensuring the steady progress of its mandate. Task force members will work mostly through email and teleconference. The final composition of the task force will be selected by the CCAC Governance and Nominations Committee, who will ensure that it is representative of our membership, and approved by the CCAC Board of Directors.
