Taking place in Québec City on Saturday, May 5, 2018, our workshop will provide a full day of thought-provoking and engaging presentations.

Back by popular demand, our workshop this year will be held in conjunction with the Canadian Association for Laboratory Animal Science (CALAS) 57th Annual Symposium (May 5-8, 2018). Take advantage of this unique opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and explore possibilities!

Registration Fees

Early Bird Rate: $350.00 + tax (Deadline: before midnight EDT on April 3, 2018)
Regular Rate: $425.00 + tax

In recognition of the CCAC's 50th anniversary milestone, we offered the first 50 participants a $50.00 discount on their registration fees. While this promotion is now over, there is still time to take advantage of our early bird rates. Act fast – register now!

The registration fee includes breakfast, refreshment breaks, and a lunch on Saturday, May 5, 2018. It also includes entrance to our evening cocktail reception on Friday, May 4, 2018 (5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.). Enjoy a complimentary beverage as you relax, network, and connect with the broader CCAC community.

Cancellation Policy

All requests for refunds must be made in writing to . In the event of a cancellation before midnight EDT on April 3, 2018, refunds will be subject to a $100.00 administration fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after midnight EDT on April 3, 2018.

In response to feedback received at past national workshops, we will be repeating several breakout sessions during the day, to ensure that participants have the opportunity to attend as many of the sessions that interest them.

Throughout our plenary and breakout sessions, we will reflect on the past 50 years that have defined us, and look to our future, focusing on the steps needed to further the Three Rs and improve animal ethics and care in Canadian science.

Workshop Location and Accommodations

The CCAC National Workshop 2018 will take place at the Hotel Palace Royal, located at 775 Honoré-Mercier Avenue in downtown Québec City. The hotel is near the city's main attractions and is easily accessible by foot, car, and bus. Just steps from Porte St-Jean and the fortifications of Old Québec City, the hotel provides many on-site amenities including an indoor tropical garden with swimming pool and palm trees, a fitness centre, and indoor parking. Free Wi-Fi internet is available in every room and in common areas.

A special room rate of $175.00 (+ tax) per night for a Signature suite has been reserved for workshop participants. After this date, the regular rate will apply (upon availability).
