Assessment Preparation

Institutions with little knowledge of the CCAC and our program can benefit from an orientation session, either on site or by teleconference. This CCAC service is an opportunity to explain the CCAC program to new institutions, help them identify their strengths and weaknesses, and assist them in preparing for their first assessment visit. Some institutions prefer to hire knowledgeable consultants to help them through the process as well.

After the CCAC confirms an assessment visit with the institution, we will forward all information pertaining to the visit approximately ten to twelve months prior to the scheduled date. The duration of the visit depends on the size of the institution’s animal ethics and care program.
