The CCAC delivers its mandate through three main programs.
Animal care and use of participating institutions are evaluated by external peers according to the terms of the Assessment Program.
CCAC Guidelines and policies are developed and reviewed through an extensive consultative process outlined in the Guidelines Program.
The Education, Training and Communications Program delivers educational resources to participating institutions and informs Canadian on the use of animals in science.
